Anthony Cojocari (Lead Vocals, Guitar)

Anthony has been a singer for most of his life. He started out singing for a youth choir at St. Mary's of the Hills parish around 4th grade with fellow band member John Vandercruyssen. Anthony enjoyed performing solos at the 11 o'clock mass on Sundays, and was known for his well developed voice at such a young age. In 8th grade Anthony received the role of Tiny Tim for the play "Bah Humbug" at Holy Family. This was where Anthony received his true boldness when he had to sing a whole octave higher than all of the other boys could. Embarrassed yet accomplished, Anthony loved the spotlight and knew what he wanted to do in the years to come. Also, in 8th grade Anthony began piano lessons that only lasted a couple years because he knew that music could be more fun than piano. After Holy Family, Anthony went off to Notre Dame Preparatory for high school where he immediately joined the Men's Glee Club. He was known as the little dork freshman with a 1st tenor voice. He didn't mind the embarrassment because all he wanted to do was have a good time singing. Anthony continued with Glee Club through sophomore year and in junior year was accepted into NDP's Honors Chorus, "Concert Chorale." In Cojocari's sophomore year, him and his buddy John decided that it was time to do something about their musical talent. They found Pat Kuptz and the perfect "Punk Rock Trio" was formed. With all of them influenced by Green Day, the original punk rock trio themselves, it was essential to add Sara Molnar with her advanced bass skills. Anthony knew that he had something good here and took charge of SB, claiming the position of Frontman. Anthony plays a Midnight Blue Ibanez GRX20 guitar, Yamaha acoustic guitar, a red Magnum 200 electric, piano, harmonica, and a little of both the bass and drums. In his senior year at NDP, Anthony has been elected president of his Glee Club and is one of the few talented Baritones in Concert Chorale. Anthony has plans of attending college at OCC for the first year and then transferring to a university, most likely Oakland. Anthony and the other Bob's will be sticking together during and after college.

John Vandercruyssen (Lead Guitar)

John Vandercruyssen has no musical talent at all, and, in fact, is completely tone deaf in both ears. John enjoys haircuts. A lot. He has funky ears and a third nipple, which he will gladly show you if you ask. He is devoid of all human emotion. He also failed his high school guitar class. He likes to spend time playing the latest version of Madden while drinking caramel coffee. JV has known Anthony since they were young ones in first grade at Holy Family. They have been in multiple choirs together, and have been good friends for years. He met Pat at his church youth group, and Sara during his high school days, attending Rochester High. John has played the guitar for four years following the legendary guidance of one Bryan Connolly. He also plays a terrible bass guitar, the trumpet, and pretends to know how to play the piano. If you ever attend an SB show, you'll catch him playing a beautiful Fender Stratocaster, a bouncy, semi hollow Epiphone 330, or a Drop-D tuned Squier Strat, all fashioned with Super Slinkies made by Mr. Ernie Ball. He booms the Bobbie's riffs out of a Line 6 double stack amplifier and matching footboard. John's favorite bands include: Rooney, Green Day, Relient K, Trepid (look em up), Incubus, the Beatles, DCFC, the Foo Fighters, and many many more.

Sara Molnar (Bass, Vocals)

The sad, long, and quirky story of Sara Molnar began in Mexico at age -9 months. Yes I said -9 months. In the fetal stage, doctors said she had some kind of metal apparatus attached to her left hand. Then, soon after Anita Molnar gave birth to the baby girl, they realized it was a bass guitar. You may not believe it now, but, in fact, Sara's black and white Precision Bass has been with her since birth. Her father plays the guitar, violin, accordion, and some other instrument he calls whistling. Sara's mother learned to play guitar off of a T.V. show during the early 70's so, as any idiot can see, an explanation can be taken to why Sara likes music. Actually, it is really not known why she does what she does. I'm getting beside the point. Basically, Sara loves music. When she was 13 she began learning guitar and was informally "closet schooled" by a piper boy named, "Kenneth Keelin". The bass came naturally as she and her best friend Jen-e became mentally disabled with the life style of Green Day fans. Sara now plays bass while sleep walking on windy Thursday nights. Green Day has been a major, gigantic, really, really big influence on her and she thinks it may be the coffee. (?!?) Sara knew of Anthony Cojocari from her best friend Jen-e who formerly attended Notre Hell Preparatory and knew him herself. However, the true kick in the music "arse" came from a young hobbit named John Vandercruyssen. Sara noticed John in her excruciatingly boring 3rd hour Spanish 4 class. She was anonymous for about 4 months until the jig was up. She was intrigued by the band she heard about; Saluting Bob. She heard they like Green Day. She heard they were nice. She heard they had food. Following her completion of 11th grade Sara talked and pleaded and begged to members of Saluting Bob so that she could shine their shoes in order to have a try at playing the bass for them. She knew she still had the metal bass stuck to her left hand but she figured it would be okay in this case. After "trying out" (a.k.a. shining shoes, vacuuming, dusting, trying on outrageous outfits and playing decently) she was soon accepted into Saluting Bob. Sara became acquainted with the artist formerly known as Prince. (Pat Kuptz). She had him detach the bass from her left arm and since then life has been good. "asdljkhfdslajkhfds." -Sara Molnar :) You can contact Sara at 1-800-like-I-would-actually-give-you-my-number-98.

Pat2.jpg

Pat Kuptz (Drums, Vocals)

Pat Kuptz has been playing the drums since he was about ten years old. Pat was raised in the company of musicians from his childhood; watching his father and his friends perform across the Detroit area. Seeing his father playing enticed the young Kuptz to try and learn an instrument as well. He soon took to practicing simple beats on the drums and eventually picked up the guitar. Upon entering Bishop Foley High School in 2003, he joined the jazz band; honing his already genetically inherited percussion skills. That same year, he began attending St. Mary's Youth Group in the heart of Rochester Hills. There he became associated with the likes of Anthony Cojocari and John Vandercruyssen. Although he had encountered these two in past years, they had not yet realized their combined musical genius. After deciding to form a band in November of 2004, Saluting Bob became the brainchild of these three boys.
At the present, Pat plays two Yamaha Stage Custom sets: one black, with 11" x 10", 13" x 10", 14" x 12" tom toms; a 16" x 16" floor tom; 18" x 22" bass drum and one red pearl set which includes 12"x 10"and 13" x 10"tom toms; a 16" x 16" floor tom and an 18" x 22" bass drum. His current Zildjian cymbal selection includes:14" ZBT Series Hi Hats, a 16" ZBT series Crash, an 18" ZBT Series Crash Ride, a 20" ZBT Ride, an 18" A Series medium Crash, a 19" Heavy Crash Ride and a 20" A Series Heavy Ride. Pat uses Tre Cool Artist Series 5B Drum sticks with acorn shaped tips. Pat also plays the Guitar, Bass guitar, and the trumpet.
Some of Pat's influences include: 2005 drummer of the year, Tre Cool, Travis Barker, Willie "Too Big" Hall, Bob Kuptz and Mikie Kalfayan.
